I have been to Jaco beach several times on day trips and have always hired a driver. Hire for the whole day for $75, drive you anywhere you want to go and is at your beck and call. Last time there was an accident and traffic stopped. After 20min we turned around and took a back dirt road and was able to get around the traffic jam. If I was driving I would not have found that road. It was really bumppy, and my TICA's boobies were bouncing like mad. He took us to one of the best hotels there and we sat on the beach, then went touring around a bit. We ended up back in San Jose about 8pm. It was a great day.
