That's probably because they knew I was a fat a** and the plane would need as much lift as possible. I won't have to pedal, will I?

There are several configurations for the A319. TACA of LACSA are not listed. Since GR has flown first class, I assume that you can pick from one of the other airlines configuration that has first class.

From the link above, pick the seat that you would like, when you e-mail them your name, booking reservation number, day, and time, and they will place you in the seat, if open. You can also tell them your preference aisle, window, and let them place you in a seat that is available.

Anyone else on LACSA LR604 Friday August 31st 2:25 AM out of LAX?

On the TACA 319's, rows 1-3 are business (AC DF) and rows 4-21 are coach (ABC DEF). Row 9 is emergency exit row.

TACA/LASCA over AA any day of the week!!!

The only thing that you have to get used to is Spanish being the primary language and English is second during announcements…Same as Mandarin being the first language on EVA and China Air.

OBTW, you will do a plane switch in San Salvador, if you are a cigar smoker the small duty free cigar shop between the two terminals has the lowest prices on Cuban cigars that I know of…

Enjoy your trip!

If I don't give them seat preferences, I guess they will randomly assign them?

They will assign a seat for you. When you check-in, you can ask for a specific seat.

We flew TACA in July. We are flying TACA again in September. The flights were on time, service was great and I will recommend it to anyone flying to CR, specially from LAX. The only drag is returning to LAX you have to take a bus to immigration and because the flight lands around 11.15PM there are not too many immigration officers working, so it takes about an hour to get your bags, go thru customs, and get the hell out of there!

If your plane gets to LA after 11 oclock PM they bus you over to the international terminal for the imigration inspection. I always travel with just a carry on bag and do not have to waste time waiting for my bag to show up on a separate bus. It was alot nicer when the imigration station stay open late, the airport changed the imigration times in April of 07. :?

I only fly TACA to CR. Now that I am Horizonte de Plata I am almost always upgraded to business class (which is great for the red eye down from LAX) and they give me a 50% bonus on my mileage. I now have almost 80,000 miles saved.

Going down again next week 8/22 to 8/26.

TACA is awesome.

On my last trip they upgraded me for free, because they had room and I asked. I wasn't any special level either... (of course by the end of the month I will be - 3 more TACA flights between now and the end of Aug.)

I'll fly TACA over any american airline, including continental. I'll even go so far as to say that I'll pay $200 extra to fly TACA, but don't tell them that...

We will be on Lacsa/Taca Friday Aug 24, 2:25 a.m. flight #605 That is the only time to fly out of LAX. I am working on the new runway here at LAX and I just watched 2 Taca plains take off for Costa Rica. Cant help thinking how many CRT members are on the flights.

Taca has a midweek flight that leaves LAX at 6:45 in the morning and you arrive in CR at 1pm. For those of you who do not like the redeye flight this option might work better for you. Also if you take the 1 oclock pm flight out of San Jose, you will arrive in LAX at 7:45 pm and will not have to be bused to the international terminal for imigration.

Hope this helps
