I agree with VB on this one. The rule is what it is. If anyone does not like the rule they can easily switch to any number of good hotels. Does it really matter exactly why they changed the rules or that they might treat guests and lady visitors differently?

They are trying to reach a delicate balance between being monger and tourist friendly. I can live with it, I just hope guys that can not live it do not ruin what has been an otherwise mutually beneficial relationship.

I just noticed that many of the guys who are doing the most complaining about this issue aren't VIP members on this site. While I certainly respect their right to not join,I think they have less to lose if our relationship with the Hotel goes down the drain. After all they don't get to take advantage of the CRT discount.

Have to agree with TicaFan. There are always a ton of mongers there. I almost always stay in a jr suite or the master suite and have never seen a monkey-hugger walk out of one of those rooms. Hell, they'll stay in the laundry room if you let them. IMHO no place in paradise should have a dress code. It's just a rule for the sake of having another rule. Maybe things will change back to the way they should be once all the curious family types have been there - done that - and gotten thier t-shirts. I will continue to stay there until I feel that this or something else has inconvenienced me too much. That's when I will move on.... to a suite someplace else. None of us should let the annoying policies of ANY establishment ruin even 1 night of our vacation in CR , ever. :)

Presidente kindly extends the discount to all CRT registered members. You do not have to be a VIP.

I have only experience one of the guard tell a my chica that her skirt was a little short and next time she would have to wrap somthing around her waist to cover or she would not be able to enter again.

Its not that big of a deal, just have a light wind breaker in your room, run up and get it and cover her up.

Hell pre-plan and get one of those mini disposible rain coats that fold up and fits in your pocket.

I noticed that they didn't make me show my card (neither did many other places). One thing I thought was odd... They let my non-member wingman piggy-back on me. He got the same rate as I did. Now the dude dosen't think he should join because he feels he can get discounts by saying he's with me. It's worked for him so far. He hasn't been asked to show a card... anywhere.

IMHO, and out of respect for Admin1, and all that goes into getting us these discounts, I think you should (politely) ask your buddy to join CRT. If he's going to say that he's in CRT, and get all the discounts at the numerous venues, then he should pony up the lousy $39.

He never said he was a member. I just noticed that in several places we went over the past 2 trips, he always recieved the same deal that I got. I had mentioned to him that he should join on a few occasions , but it wasn't until a conversation this morning that he told me he was going to sign up. I doubt he would be a poster, but atleast he will have his own card if asked for it.
