actually he was quite open with the details of his life and relationships with many. i think it might have been what a lot of people found endearing about him. i remember his posts about nicas and relationships like it was yesterday.

Steven 1, no one enjoys a train wreck when someone they care about is injured in the crash. There is more to this story than is disclosed and when it's known, I hope that you who questioned Boyd's integrity will be equally appologetic. (Don't PM me for info. I've NOT talked with Boyd.)

Greg has shown his delightful character in how he has provided information and continues to support Boyd as a business partner. I think we all might consider doing the same. Rumors and innuendo can be distructive to any one of us.

Drama is plentiful in Costa Rica and with young chicas involved it's guaranteed. You can be certain that all is not the same as the story has been told.

Let's quit quoting Bible scripture and instead act more Christ-like. Support a brother in his time of need instead of kicking him when he's down. From the good which Boyd has done for many of us, he deserves at least this much from us.

Uncle H , I have no doubt that people make wrong decisions and they pay for them in some way or another.
A man is innocent until proven guilty . I know Boyd has always been a friend and has not done me wrong. I hope any transgression of a financial situation will be redressed at a later date. The facts are not yet disclosed and there are always two sides to a story. I know for a fact that Boyd did drink too much on the job. As myself a manager in business it is something I would never do. I actually had an HLH employee bring this to my attention a year ago. It did be seem to causing a problem. I worked in the Liquor industry
twenty five years and managed a multi-million dollar operation. I have witnessed a non drinker progress to a full fledged alcoholic many times. I have watched the rich and successful men fail from alcohol abuse and
live on the street or in car and eventually drink themselves to death. Some people should stay totally
away from it. It is a disease that eats the very soul of a person. It cause people to make irrational
decisions. I would not classify Boyd as a Con Man. He has made a concerted effort to make things go at the HLH. It is a thriving business. Sometimes there are people good at starting a business but lack the
skills to manage it over a long term. Public relations and manager are two different job positions. Some
people can do both. Supervising a business like HLH,dealing with the Chicas , I am sure was a nightmare.
If the rumor about taking the money and running is correct then he is definitely in the wrong. I do not condone theft and yet we do not know what he was owed or promised. HLH will survive. $50,000
is a pittance to ruin your reputation over. That is just over one months gross income for the place.
I tend to believe he got overwhelmed with personal problems or his sudden flight from Costa Rica a serious threat of bodily harm. you guys may doubt that last statement but ask the dead man from
New Fantasy what he thinks. I have a friend that has been traveling and living on occasion in CR and he tells me its something related to the amount of payoffs.

that was one of them. i think back then he was a trailblazer that a lot of us felt was coming from a sincere place. maybe there was less of us or less of us that ran around talking about each others business. maybe it was always the same idk. but i agree w lenny that we owe him gratitude for his friendship. i wanted to know what happened but i wasn't here to claim his bones.
since it would appear that he is indeed gone for all intents and purposes maybe we can try and honor the guy by doing as he always said and get back to helping each other instead of sniping each other. i never heard or read the man say he knew everything. just seemed to share his experiences. and while we all have some things in common our individual experiences can be very different.
