Hi,

Can I get your opinions? During my upcoming stay, only the Courtyard rooms are available at the SL.

Would you choose the Castillo or the SL? Obviously, I have not stayed at either...

Thanks,

Courtyard is very noisy. I would opt for Castillo or better yet La Amistad. Both are about the same distance 1 block from the SL.

I concur. The court yard at SL is very noisy. Court yard at Castillo is open air and less crowded. Last I knew the bar closed earlier than SL. Also, as I remember, unescorted chicas are no longer allowed at Castillo (unless they changed it again..lol).

El Castillo is one of my favorite hotels in SJO, great place to get away from the action, quieter. Each of these places has a completely different feel to it. Depending on the room La Amistad is great also.

I like the Castillo too. If you are interested in getting some sleep at night then I would definately stay there instead of a courtyard room at SL. It is so close to SL that you can easily walk to and fro at any time.

Yes, no chicas at the Las Palmas bar so you will need to visit SL or HDR for that. But the bar is still good for a drink or food.

Kindly factor in that the new bar at the SL extends into the SL "courtyard" and bar stools are maybe 12 feet from the door of your room......no train can compete with them odds! :P 8).....and then of course there is Amistad and let's not leave out our VIP sponser hotel right down the way, Vesuvio! I KNOW Western will testify as to it's outstanding service.....!!! :P :P :P

I booked a couple of deluxe garden rooms at the Castillo; decided to enjoy a little peace if desired.

Thx!

Castillo equals peace and quiet and a nice courtyard breakfast. Desk staff to attend to every need. Day trips arranged with speed and grace.

Comfortable and homey. Drinks at the courtyard bar...

After that walk 3 minutes in any direction to find your true azimuth...SL, HDR, HLH, NF etc...Cafe Mundo, Soda Delicias Del Peru etc.

30 second walk to Las Palmas for dinner.....Evening nightcap with Asta as hostess at La Amistad....2 minutes walk. SL chica tu tuck you in or tucker you out, all in safety.

Three minute walk to Galeria Namu for the best souvenirs in CR....

Keep it simple, enjoy life.

To me, it would depend on which courtyard room it was. Either way, that would be something to have my business all out there. Crowds of people coming in and out the room and shit... Hilarious

I've stayed a night at the Castillo years ago maybe things are different. But I felt like I was in a box, with little atmosphere around it made me feel like a monger for real..

Cujo, you must have had one of the small rooms. The bigger ones are decent.

Kudos to you!!!! Your fantasy is definitely greater than mine. You stay at a Monger-closes thing to a whorehouse in CR aside from the HDR and you not feel like a monger? That is hilarious. Thanks for the laugh.
