Well I am staying at Hotel Castillo for the first time. The Hotel is Old, but nice and clean. I am in room 22 in the back upstairs. Decent view, but the room looked bigger online. The beds are pretty hard, and they do move around undeer heavy usage. I do like the fact that they hold your chica's ID until she leaves for security purposes. I guess that way if she is trying to leave with a laptop or something, they can call your room. Hotel Castillo is an extremely good value, especially if you use CRT discount, pay in cash, and stay for a week or more. I would stay here again if necessary, but will probably try to book SL again for my next trip.

Hey....that #22 is my room! Take it easy on the bed for me.

Yeah.....those beds do tend to make their way across the room under hard usage.

Have you tried the restaurant/bar next door? If so how was it? Were both of the bars open?

Seabee,

The restaurant is shooting for a re-opening later next week.

There will be a familiar face running the operation, a welcome one to those of us that have spent anytime at Castillo/Gardens/Sonny's will be happy to see :)

I wish the new owner(s) the best, and believe they are headed in the right direction to make this location a success.

You guys can have room #22...
The best room is #23, upstairs and on the end. :D
Has a great view, towards the zoo. I love the afternoon naps after a session, open the windows, turn on the fan, ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
Wish I was there now.

HolaB, come on, share with us who the new owners are and who will be working there.

Yeah....#23 is the best room; big bed, great view with all the windows. I spent a month in it one time. The only downside for me was that all the morning sunlight woke me up too early.

23 is the best room in the place! Great view of the zoo entrance, quiet etc. I like to stand on the balcony in the early morning and watch the conjures (little green parrots) fly into the trees.

I know this might sound stupid. The thing that bothers me about Castillo is that when you leave the premises you have to give them your keys and then when you come back, they give you your keys back. It's just a nuisance.

Term,

You don't have to give them your room key each time you leave. I know several guys that take the key off the ring and carry it with them. Personally, I like the idea of giving my room key to the desk clerk when I leave the hotel.......it's one less think I have to worry about losing if I get mugged. :?

I don'tmind leaving me key at the desk, and that is standard practice in most European Hotels except where the new card keys are in operation.

Does everyone stay in room 22! :?:
I've stayed in that room twice.

I rate my sessions by the distance across the room the bed has traveded by the time we regain our senses!

The birds in the treetops outside the room are a nuisance when you want to sleep past sunrise. :x Muy ruidoso!
