TicaFan,
Thanks for the link, but the prices I checked were a little more expensive, than going directly to the AA website.

I just went on that site, and checked prices from MIA to SJO. I tried 3 different departure / return dates. On all 3, the price quoted (with all taxes) was $441.72

Then, I went onto the AA website, and tried the exact same 3 dates, and the price for all 3 of those flights was $436.72.

I found it to be (actually) more expensive on that site, at least for those particular fares. Initially, the prices quoted look good, but I don't believe they include all the taxes. Just make sure that after you get a price from that site, check the airlines' official site, and compare the fare prices.

But anyways, thanks for the link. Hopefully some members will be able to find some good airfares from their part of the country.

Mucho Gusto

MG,
That would be the $5 travelocity service charge they tack on to every ticket. You can save it by booking direct after getting the travelocity price.

(BTW, the JFK-SJO price on TACA says $383+taxes. It's now $355 on Taca.com. So I wouldn't rely on this yahoo/travelocity site as the end-all best deal.)

Tica, thanks I just booked Delta out of BWI for 275.00, 6-8 thru 12. They were the only dates I could make work. I allready have my labor day tickets and they cost me 480.00. But I have to be there. I am going to win alot of prizes. This one at that price is just a weekend of vitamins.

Thanks again

It's just a snapshot .. actually, I think they are Travelocity prices. Just knowing your city might have dropped since last time you looked is the purpose. I don't care where anyone books from. Yesterday ATL-SJO was 340 and I waited. :( It better drop again soon.

Mucho. I have not booked a place to stay yet. I know you are talking about a fishing trip on that weekend. Would like to meet you before labor day. I hope your wing man is that newbie. I like fishing but with such short time only want to fish for the pink snapper.

We'll get together for a cocktail when I'm in town on the June trip. We'll talk before then. :)

How did you get the Yahoo search engine to list these prices? I've tried it to other destinations, but it seems to want a departure city. How do I get it to list just fares to say GIG (Brazil).

Good question Slut..
http://search.travel.yahoo.com/bin/sear ... dc=RIO&s=p

What I finally did was type in "Best Fares to Rio" in the Search Travel box at top of page.

I've only been able to get SJO and GIG and Californicationdude hooked me up with them.

This may be the page you use to create them:

Yahoo Fairchase is useful for a snapshot of a few sites:
