Delta has another special today and I am not sure how long it will be around or to what date you can book this special. I did put the same dates that I am going down Sept. 30 returning Oct. 3 and the price comes up to $211.65. I live in Atlanta but was already going to fly out of Orlando as the rate is so much better from there.

I bought a special on Air Tran going down on the 29th of Sept for $53.00, that on-line deal is now about $69.00. Hope all you guys can find some good seats and help Delta out and have a great time down in San Jose.

All the Delta flights I saw from MCO went to ATL and then SJO. You should be able to get a direct flight from ATL to SJ. I live in FL and take Martin Air direct from MCO to SJO for $300-$335 taxes included.

If I am wrong post the flight #'s as I would like to use some Delta miles. :D

You wanna hear something funny?

I flew Delta in June from NY->Atl->SJ. It was $475 RT. I was curious how much people from Atlanta pay for the direct flight to SJ. It was like $525. So it was more for one leg of the flight than with the connection.

This is not uncommon for airlines. My buddy who lives in Chicago was flying out west and he had to drive to Milwaukee to catch a flight that would go through Chicago. He could have just caught the flight in Chicago, but it was much cheaper to fly out of Milwaukee and through Chicago. Then returning, he had to fly back to Milwaukee and could not get off in Chicago.

Airlines do things that don't make sense. Then they wonder why they are having financial difficulties.

dewman,

That's some shit! I have to fly from O-town to Atlanta to San Jose for a decent fare this weekend. $265, who can complain? More $ to spend on chicas.

Yes, I have taken Delta direct out of Atlanta, and love that quick direct flight, but at the same time I saw this special, the fare out of Atlanta was $601.00. For some reason they have really hit the Atlanta crowd hard with higher fares for the direct flight. The Orlando flight on Delta does come back to Atlanta and then on to Costa Rica. I saved some money, which I am sure my chica's will be very happy to see.

Dewman:

Clarkhoward.com says there is ATL-SJO fare for $339; purchase by Oct 7. I can't find it on delta's site, but I will. I will be on it, too

An american fare seems to have disappeared from aa.com that was MCO-SJO for $128 !! It should still be valid if I could find the fare code.

Please mail me at omanjam[at]charter.net. I live in atlanta and would like to join forces

best regards,
juker
