Has anyone ever stayed in PH1 at the Hotel Castillo. Is it hard to get a good night's sleep in there because there is no curtains on the east view?

I wondered about that too! No matter how great a room is, I gotta have it dark por la maƱana! Anyone with info on this or Castillo's other Top Tier rooms would be appreciated!

Darren emailed me yesterday and said that there are curtains on the east side, but not the north side facing the zoo. He said the room though is very private. I gonna get me one of those blackout masks just in case, LOL.

Don't forget to download the Fan Noises app for yer smartphone. Good steady white noise to drown out the Zoo noise!

I have stayed in all PH multiple times. PH1 is my favorite because I like the big windows. Yes, the sun comes up at 5:15 or so, but I feel like the whole country wakes up early. PH2 is identical to 1 but without the windows, it is really dark with the curtains closed. Love the bathrooms even though the water pressure in the shower always is iffy. PH3 bed/living is slightly smaller with a similar layout, but the bathroom is completely different. Smaller bathroom, but a much bigger shower with better water pressure, but the setup is a not as nice as the long bathrooms in the other 2. All 3 have identical upstairs lofts, which are rarely used honestly. If the PHs are booked rooms 23 and 18 are my go to.
