At the time, thank G*d, no. I was fortunately wearing sweat pants that expand.

If I were proudly wearing either my stylish camouflage grey or rugged woodsman brown cargo's, and my already excessive waistline expanded, I might have been forced to pull them up a bit higher to accommodate the further expansion and find myself in violation of the strictly enforced 2 inches below the knee rule, and be asked to leave... :mrgreen:

am I right in assuming cargo shorts marks one in CR, as it does in the US, as a clueless white dude with money to blow and therefore an easy mark?


We are viewed as such down here whether we wear cargo shorts, jeans, sweats, tuxedos, Italian suits, women's clothes, whatever.... :mrgreen:

SL has gotten so quiet lately it's like a funeral parlor. Very few disinterested chicas and a few guys watching football on tv. Maybe it's because it was a weeknight. I usually stop in before my trip to Jaco but I doubt it next time. PS : Best chica I met was at that bar on the otherside of Parque Espana.

Are any CRT Members planning to attend Happy Hour at Sportsmen's today? I'm inquiring because I observed that this event was originally posted several years ago.

There are usually people in the bar during happy hour. Not really an event though. But there still is a happy hour and happy hour pricing at least as of a couple of months ago.

It must be catching in. I had to come back from the Caribbean for 2 night & room rates were thru the roof fir Thursday & Friday! Like $250+
