The Copacabana is chica friendly and about 10 to 15 minute walk from Cocal. Plenty of cabs to move back and forth at night.

Everyone says it’s a bit outdated and over priced

Check Hotel Poseidon on Calle Bohio. It is less than 10 min walk to Cocal. I stayed there a few years ago. At that time a $10 guest fee. Reportedly changed ownership. The website lists $15 fee for each additional guest. As always it is a good idea to call and confirm before ending up with a non-refundable booking that doesn't work for your intentions.

Not a perfect solution with a guest fee, but at least an option.

Monaco is great and chica friendly. They do charge $10/visitor, but have a 24 hrs security. The apartments are clean and modern. Some come with access to a private roof top jacuzzi. Grocery store across the street and about a 5-10 easy walk to Cocal.

Thank you guys for all the advice given.

I found a condo that seems to be tica friendly, first 2 visitor free then $10 after that, plus it’s gated with 24/7 security and and it’s just 4 mins by car and 14 minutes walk to the Cocal. For the weekend I’ll be at the Cocal, that’s the place to be at the weekend, on the website it says it’s full booked, but you can make reservations by phone. Gracias

Hotel Buddha. I didn't monger there but no guest fee from what I noticed.

Mongering is so expensive in Jaco that they probably haven't had to implement any guest fees yet.

Only thing I didn't like about the place was the absence of a paved walk way. It's all gravel so everyone hears every step you make walking to your door.

Besides that I loved the place
