Are there any decent hourly hotel rooms near downtown? If so, what is the average cost and cleanliness?

Morazon is the cleanest but not the cheapest. If you are going to do more than 1 time a day it might be better just to rent a room there. Rooms are dated but work, much better than Hotel Asia. If you go to Hotel Asia though tell the dancing cockroach that drank my beer hello.

if you just need one for a quick shot, the Asia around the corner from HDR is like $10 for 2 hours. For a little more, La Oficina is nearly $20 for 3 hours and the rooms are nice and most have jacuzzis or large bathtubs. There is another one directly across the street from HDR , next to the pizza shop, but the HDR told all the ladies to stay away from there. It's a nicer choice than the Asia
Short term places are the choice for most locals. If you have a car, plenty of choices.

If you are coming for a weekend or a day and a half, just rent a room at Morazon
