A reply to several comments because I do not know how to reply individually: room 202 is a penthouse and costs almost twice as much so no thanks especially if I am paying an additional $50 a day for food for the chica; packages in the DR cost a fortune and are not needed especially if you speak any Spanish; I have spoken with this young lady many times with a camera and microphone and she is 30, speaks perfect English, has an American visa, has has been to the USA multiple times so while your advice is generally excellent I am really not worried once she actually meets me at the airport; I have literally a couple hundred non-professional chica friends in the DR on Facebook and the majority would go out for the 2 or 3 hours I insisted on for $30 or $40, and in 13 years there I never gave a chica more except the ones I lived with but it was very important that I spoke Spanish, knew the system, and had an excellent reputation

The days you are wifeing up stay at the BARCELO hotel. The location and views from the hotel are very nice. But mongering from there means a $65 chica fee

I spoke to Rudy about the train and no outside window. He says it is a nice and quiet room. I will find out the truth when I am there but trains make noise and I am a light sleeper.

its a LOT worse than just the train
they have to blow their horn at each street including the one directly adjacent the hotel
used to have guys come w STOP signs in an effort to mitigate the issue but idk if they still do
also seems as though the conductors know full well what is going on in the area so they blast it extra loud, extra long, and extra times

I was in room 203 the last 4 nights a week ago and was up the stairs next to the bar the first 2 nights (I forget the room number).

Very nice I paid for the chica de la noche out of pocket for drinks and food.

I had one meet me at the hotel and was then 15 minutes after I checked it. But the flight was late and traffic sucked so I was about an hour and a half later than I wanted and kept messaging her the whole trip through town. I would suggest Uber and have at least a few minutes to organize and check in and shower and change does wonders.

201 I think is the best room in the house, 1 flight of stairs and 2 risers down! Great windows, with a jacuzzi and sauna! 202 is the interior room with a window that opens into the stairway area by the bar/restaurant. I need an outdoor window.
