I've met a number of people from florida down in san jose.
Some florida Horndogs go to costa rica 7 times a year!

I've been on Martin Air once. Miami Air operates the flight for them with a
737 late model.
I wish some airline would have consistintly cheap airfares out of fort lauderdale.
I lived in Hallandale florida last year and was able to ponce on those
airfares too.

I know a guy with a novia in SJO who goes about every other weekend from MIA.
His passport must be full by now.

Spent almost two weeks trying to get through to Martin Air for reservations to no avail. Trying to get the direct flight out of Orlando. Finally gave up and went with OLD FAITHFULL & DEPENDABLE..American Airlines. Yup I paid a little more but went right online and got my ticket fast with no hassles. Plust their planes leave on time and generally they don't loose luggage like Martin.

Perhaps the only way is through third party travel agencies like Tico Travel because the actual staff at Martin air appears to be a bunch of freakin idiots.

Martin Air is a pain to deal with...especially their Boca Raton US headquarters. They act like they're special or something. Unlike most US airlines they offer no internet booking and don't even post their prices on the website. When you do get through to customer service they petulantly hang up on you. Bankers hours for reservations.

When it comes to business acumen they remain in the stone age.
Martin air makes it hard to do business with them. Maybe they should just stick with the charter and cargo business.

Those indeed are very good fares but if you do some looking on your own, you can do better. I just booked Orlando to SJO for mid-September on American Airlines for $207 using Orbitz. The great deals are highly dependant on travel dates so if you are flexible, the Sunshine State is an ideal gateway to CR.

I guess your right about that online booking and crap Marlin I always go through tico travel or surf express for my tickets. I havent had any problems yet with luggage with Martain Air but the lines do suck its just something i have to deal with becuase if i went AA they would charge me 100 bucks to bring my board.

Martin Airs boca headquarters is located in the office building next to the cheesecake factory. Some people actually went there to make reservations when I worked for them.

I recently booked a ticket with Martinair for the Thanksgiving Day weekend. I have flown with them in the past and thoroughly enjoyed the Star Class service.

I can't believe I got the U.S. Air deal from Ft. Lauderdale to SJO for $181 with tax. The best part is, with a quick 15 minute drive though 595 I can get there in no time.

Hope to see some of you down there in October (13-20). Although this will be my second trip, it will be my first as a CRT member, and now I am armed with many good CRT tactics..
