Hi all.My boss will be coming to San Jose in August. He is not a monger. He is eldery and he will bring his lady friend with him. They are going to Flamingo. He was going to rent a car in San Jose then drive over.I told him it would not be a good idea. This is a very good guy and I am worried about him.Can anyone tell me a driver that knows english. And will not rip them off.I saw the driver on the membership page. The page says the charge will be $210 one way. That seems a little steep.Anyone know someone cheaper? You can post the answer here or you can email me also. Thanks in advance.DR

Probably the reason no one has answered your post question in over an hour and a half is that they are all wondering why after 57 posts you fail to hit that thing called "search". I'm not trying to be a sour puss but don't you understand the tools of the site? I'm amazed at why people post with this stuff ........can we say LAZY?

No offense, I'm sure you are a nice person and would like some help for your friends. If you cannot fing your answer then get back to us and we will help. Best of luck.

Dale Rey,

Suggest you or your boss contact "The Nack Tour Company"

USA: Michael Caldwell...1-888-216-2552

CR: Eduardo Delgado...506-389-7014/506-395-8511

Have used them many times, as have my friends, without any problem. Need a ride at 4:00 AM? they will be there at 3:45 AM without fail. Very reasonable rates and English speaking.

Thanks for your quick reply. As I am a VIP and your not.(YOU COULD SPRING TO SUPPORT THE SITE.)Other wise I did check the search feature.I typed in Flamingo and then driver. Some posts came up.But I did not find the information I needed.I know it is hot up in Jax.And it has got to be around 150 degrees in the doublewide. But please,I really do not need a CRT Barney Fife wantabe to tell me I am lazy.
In closing you could have shown me a little respect. You could PM me or just let it slide. Now you can go back to eating your manwitch and corn bread and nana puddin and drink your sweet tea.You are a red, white and blue guy.REDNECK,WHITE SOCKS,BLUE RIBBON.
Some good news Circus.I did hear your Feetball team may leave. That will leave your Sundays open for the HeeHaw and Dukes of Hazzards marathon between the NeckCar races.PS I can crack on the South as I am from Atlanta. You can take a little Ribbin cant you Bubba.

Why isnt renting a car a good idea? I love driving in CR. The drive from San Jose to Flamingo is an easy one once you get out of San Jose mountains it's really pretty flat. I would say if your going to stay in San Jose the whole time there is no need to rent a car.

If you want your freedom and want to be able to go wherever you want to rent a car. I always will feel safer driving myself than having some bus driver with one arm answering the cell phone every 5 min while passing some pineapple truck on blind corners. Everytime I passed one of those tourismo buses it was packed with people and all I could think of damn im glad im not stuck in there.

Maybe you should tell him to fly into liberia and then catch a ride from there it would probly be cheaper.

For about $100 round trip, they can fly Sansa to Tamarindo, and then taxi for about 20 minutes to Flamingo. Flamingo is small. They won't need a car, but they can rent one there I suppose. The flight is 30 min.
Nature Air also flies there, but is about $20 more expensive.

YO Dale Ray:

Fellow, if you happen to read the last paragraph of my post you would have noticed a respectful ending after making a point. Some newbies as well as regulars here on CRT find it hard to take criticism in a constructive way. The inmature ones lash out with name calling and prejudicial comments......I believe you just gave us a fine example of this. As you would want me to fit in with your assessment of my station in life let me just say " I'm really an easy dog to hunt with."

Hopefully, you can get over that short fuse, I'm better than you assessment and of course "you red, white and blue Redneck" syndrome. Son (not related), I feel bad for you making such a fool out of yourself when there is not a reason to do so.

Yea, by your wonderful description of me I'm just a greedy, non-giving to this site, leech, ignorant redneck that don't know nuttin and shameless R,W & Blue flag waving war veteran........Hell, I can live with that. The Admins should get rid of vermin like me.

God speed D-Ray. I do wish you safe passage and good travels to CR and other destinations. Pura Vida.

YO Dale Ray:

No problema. It's old history as far as I am concerned. All of us here have had our crusty moments and I am certainly no exception.
BTW, the word Redneck is not me but the adjective "bizarre" is right on when it comes to old Circus. I do have my pride.

Best to you in life, travels and your association with CRT.

nota bene:

Circus,

I am certain that a multitude of us appreciate your wit & wisdom. I always find your posts candid without malice, clever, and right on the money.

I will now remove my lips from your ass.

Just a thought...
