Just checked AA which is $588 out of ATL changing planes in either Dallas or Miami. DL is still $773.

Change planes, claim baggage, take a long walk on the third floor in MIA or ride a train in DFW and hope your bag is not lost. Hmmm. Immigration in MIA can be a long wait, especially if their computer breaks down or they are on coffee break.

Maybe get it all in one carryon bag instead and hope everyone is on time?
No such luck.

For $200 savings I would take a chance.

Ruffnutz,
You're partially to blame for the increase in airfares from ATL to SJO.
If you weren't flying down there every 2 weeks they wouldn't have been alerted to the goldmine they were sitting on.

Even adding the early evening flight hasn't helped bring the fare down.

There are only so many seats and with the proliferation of summer travel combined with the Labor Day and Thanksgiving holidays it was predicted early this year that this would happen.

That's why I booked my flight in February.

See you at ZB.

I'm booking mine 6 months out, spaced about two months apart, hanging it on some event or schedule (here or there) that makes it a likely good time to go there, and catching good fares that are still available.

And I just know that I'll be glad when that week rolls around. Only a pretty strong emergency would sink that ticket, and even then, by the fall and winter, I can probably use a frequent flyer ticket to get me in soon afterward at very little cost.

Checking ahead for next February, hotels.com list of hotels is a joke as far as location goes. I ask for something in San Jose and they quote me all over the central valley. Speaking of which you should see the bogus maps of the hotels they provide. Locations blocks away and streets which do not exist are shown.
Next sidestep.com is showing airfares which are suspect. Sidestep also describes the Morazon hotel as a bed and breakfast.

I just cannot trust making reservations except at the website of the hotel or airline involved.

Who thinks airfares will be dropping in September. I think the best way to
get down there is thru Fort lauderdale or Miami. MartinAir is pretty good. American blasted out Delta from Dallas, so its hard to get good deals out of Dallas. :o

There is a "Morazan" that is a B&B. I believe it is located a few blocks north of the Hotel Morazan.

When making international hotel reservations it's best to either deal with a KNOWN corporation or contact them yourself.

Another advantage to being a CRT VIP member.
