A couple of us are visiting CR for the first time and we booked rooms at the Prez. We'll be there for 4 nights and hope to visit Jaco one of the days. Still debating if we should stay a night at Jaco or just make a day trip and be back by the night.

Also I'd like to hear from others on their experience with the Presidente hotel. We booked it as its close to all the action and had good breakfast and hopefully they don't hit us with additional charges for guests overnight.

I could be wrong, but if what I read here is correct, they have a no chica policy.

I stayed at the Presidente more than 20 times. The last time in 2010 or 2011. DO NOT STAY THERE NOW !!! It is not chica friendly and you will not be able to bring your guest to the room.

The only time you should consider staying there is if you have a favorite and check her in at the same time you check in and do not plan on bringing anyone else up to your room. The rooms are great.

While it is a nice place, they have the chica policy. If you go to Jaco and want to screw go for an overnight. Depending on what time your flight leaves to go home, you might be able to go to the airport right from Jaco.

You can go from Jaco to the airport at any time of the day you want, 24 hours...at night the options are more limited, but available. Taxis or private transport such as Pura Vida Transport will do the trip at night.

No chicas allowed at the Presidente. I highly recommend staying in Jaco if you are here on Thursday - Saturday nights. 3-4 guys, get a condo at the Monaco Jaco for around $60 per person per night.
