If noise troubles you, avoid room 108 and those around it. They are right at street level; however, they have the advantage of being easily accessible, almost no stairs to climb, and just steps away from the restaurant area/laundry/front desk.

312 def the best room by far... just had a few days in there...
you can also connect it to 313 if you have a buddy traveling with you...

just be prepared to carry the chicas up all the stairs...

I'm thinking of booking LA all inclusive since it includes the free shuttle to Jaco & back. Last month I stayed in a great guest house but like LA, it was close to the train which is one thing I'd prefer not to hear again on this trip. I've been told all Queens & Kings are not created equal so I want to request a particular room or two at booking.

312 is the only room that I've stayed in with a balcony. If you and the girl you're with are into that, you'll have a good time. My only complaints are you need to book it in advance and hike to get to it. Just when you think you're there, you have another flight of steps. The ones that spiral around but worth it. The room straight ahead (at the top of the steps) was the very first room I stayed in. Good memories in that room and bad ones..LMFAO I think it's 311. It's a small room and can join 312 via a sauna. 311, if that's the right number, is next to the train tracks. The train will drive you crazy.

I tried to book 312 for July4th weekend but booked already.
