SL is the BEST place for a first visit. HDR is the worst place to stay in San Jose
You are afraid of the intensity of the HDR, do not run from your fears, embrace your fears, you have allowed the HDR to conquer you, you must go there and fight for a good time or you will be forever afraid of strong willed putas.
I will be holding group counseling classes to all those here who despise the Del Rey, it's ok to admit you fear the Del Rey, that is the first step to rehabilitation and the ability to score hot P at reasonable prices and full service.
I have been doing that proudly and unashamedly at HDR for over ten years, I can help those individuals who shake their fists at the Rey, who despise the Rey and do so because they fear it, I feel your pain and frustration, for all of you who claim to despise the Rey but secretly fear it, it's time to come out of the closet.
When you met the challenge the Rey offers head on, it won't be easy, but the rewards are endless, and you will know you have overcome a milestone that could have handicapped your Costa Rica experience for your lifetime....
Be sure to include a short class on 'How to traverse the Gauntlet'
This could include issues such as...
'How to handle chicas that grab you and won't let go'
Also, perhaps a seminar in the following...
'How to deal with chicas that won't take 'no' for an answer, such as when they start massaging your shoulders, etc.'

I don't know why guys have problems there, when an undesirable puta approaches me, I'll politely make small talk then tell her I'm waiting on a diff girl I called or just finished a session. I'm never rude or disrespectful but I'm firm.
If I'm sitting alone or with friends and one or more undesirables approach and attempt to sit with us, I just explain that we're talking about business back in the USA and are busy now. I have never had a puta demand my time if I show firmness but respect.
I don't let hustlers pick me, I enjoy walking around the place and checking the options out, I avoid loud boistrous putas parading about and calling attention to themselves, I have always found great little gems sitting by themselves or maybe with one friend in the back bar area or the slot machines.
I suspect the individuals who despise the Rey have been easily and repeatedly tricked by pros and have gotten lousy service for high prices over and over and for some foolish reason don't negotiate with the girl and get a good vibe before choosing her.
In their anger and frustration, they lash out at the venue instead of accepting the blame themselves. Next time I am visiting, I will be holding classes on how to avoid these situations and make good choices, the charge will be one beer per Del Reyphobic. Perhaps we can start a group like AA or NA, Del Rey scardy cats anonymous.
Next time members want to blame the HDR for their failures and succumb to picking fatties, uglies or oldies at other locations, a member can call another sponsoring member and get talked out of it, then meet them at the Rey for some lessons on how to properly pick up putas, it's really not that difficult once you have the interview technique down...
