Anyone heard of this? I saw a note from admin saying all was the same when the new management took over.

In that case, Colours will have serious competition and it will be added to this map: http://costaricagaymap.com/ << Before you sart slinging the barbs...I'm including it so we'll know what to avoid.

This is old news from May 2014. A prospective deal with an investor group with those plans fell though in late 2014.

I just stayed there 4 days last week after returning from Arenal, I saw no signs of LGBT. All the customers were men, all were hunting women. The bar had several working girls every night, and day. Good stay, no problems, the bartenders were enjoyable. The restaurant was not open though, but, other than that, no problems.

The restaurant is closed for remodeling. Mona Lisa has new owners and from what I could tell it is pretty exciting right now. The changes for us in the hobby all sound good. There are a lot of plans for upgrades and a great venue should be getting even better. The new owners are very monger friendly.

If they spruce the place up, take care of their in room safe/security issue and keep a decent price point for their rooms and food they will probably get a certain amount of our business. A casino, sports bar, Russ taking care of some of our needs, retaining Guy Grand, chicas on site and chica friendly are subtantial steps in the right direction. The more options for us the better. Good luck to the new owners.

I stayed at the old Clarion back in about 2008-2009 and liked the place.

Totally agree!

They have a great location...and a nice lobby/bar/casino setup. They just need to get more of a "scene" going to make it attractive. The last few times I've walked through (last October and in February) it looked pretty dead.

I will stay there a couple of days during my upcoming trip in late May...give it a test drive.
