I just booked the Mona Lisa for the first night of my first ever CR trip (in 2 weeks). Going to Jaco for a couple of nights after the first SJ night. I know almost nothing about the country (ok, I DID have to read Los Ticos in my Latin American studies course in college, but that's not gonna be very helpful in the Gulch). Used to live in the Philippines, so the guys I knew there pointed me to this board. Thanks for the info...and Sir Guy, hope we get a chance to say hello.

...now off to see if I can find some advice on where to stay in Jaco that is better than a tent and less expensive than my monthly rent in the PI. haha
