Hello everyone! I just joined CRT today and have been spending ample time reviewing all the forums and information therein. I am flying in to SJ on 1/3/2015, think I arrive at 2pm local time and then fly back out on the 11th.

I am currently looking to book hotels/condos for the trip. I do realize time is running out a bit and am looking for some advice and/or feedback on my plans. I was planning on staying initially at HDR for the first couple of days through the trip once I arrive to get the whole experience of HDR without the pain of having to know my way around. My tentative plan is to head to Jaco from there, spending the next 6 nights at a Chica friendly condo (Monaco, Monte Carlo, or Palomas).

I am looking for feedback on timing, and local knowledge/transportation. I've attempted to reach One Lucky Dog and am still trying to get ahold of him for a day tour or two, transportation, and local knowledge. I'm also interested in other suggestions as time is getting close and I've yet to hear back from him.

Long and short of it, I'm looking to relax and have some fun with women on demand for a reasonable price. Not looking into wanting to have to look over my shoulder my entire vacation and looking for advice on how much cash to carry, how to secure belongings, etc. I want to plan well enough in the next few weeks so I don't make any major mistakes and can have fun and really relax.

Your feedback and suggestions are much more appreciated than you could ever know!!

Thank you for the help in advance! :D

Once you arrive at your destination, never carry more money than you are comfortable losing. I usually carry between $50 and $100. I have never heard of a problem with the room safes at the HDR, so put all your valuables in there if that is where you decide to stay. I don't know anything about the places in Jaco you mentioned.
