You pull one sentence out of a publication over a hundred years ago. Sorry, I completely miss your point. You apparently have a lot of time on your hands.

I write what I write and say what I say. I could give a damn what someone said a century ago. I'm old but was not there at the time.

Circus....gezzzz

I've eaten at the Dunn Inn several times, always pleased, I found it excellent, had breakfast, lunch and dinner. The last time I ate there I ordered the chef's specialty for that day, the chef came out to check on me to make sure I liked it !

That's been my experience at the Dunn Inn also. Good food, good service, reasonable prices.

have heard mixed reports from ML on food. however, I have lunch twice and supper once (the filet mignon). I was very meticulous describing to the waiter how i wanted the food prepared and every time it was 9+ on a scale of 1 - 10. You do have to be careful in CR about telling the staff how you want your food prepared because CR folks in general like it very differently than say, Houston.

Dunn Inn has more experience dealing with gringos, it seems, so they generally prepare stuff gringo-style unless you specify otherwise.

Just ate some cheeseburgers from Mickey D's and damn... for a culture that generally does not like food hot or spicy, they sure do put a hella lot of salt on it
