Haven't stayed there since 1998 -- but a buddy stayed there last year in one of those inside rooms ( was actually pretty nice), he paid $55 a night. Seems like a pretty good price for DR.

I'm staying at HDR for the first time. Been to SJO many times. It will be interesting to stay at the place day and night. I will get to see all the talent that comes and goes all day. I think it will be fun for a change.

Question: is the chica charge a one time charge per girl or everytime they go up stairs? My favorita will be meeting me there and if she comes up stairs will she be required to pay later on when we return to the room after dinner?

I think it is 5700 colones every time she gets in the elevator, but you could explain that she is your novia and that you and her will be comming and going and you willl have to pay her fee just once a day.

The only problem I ever had at the HDR were the occasional roach looking at me on the wall above my bed.

the 5700 is good for 24 hours-just dont let her pick up her id if you decide to go to dinner or leave the hotel. If she picks up id and you return to room you will be charged again.
