Just used them again at the beginning of July. One again paid with paypal, not sure why some people don't see the option, are you using http://www.shuttlebus.co.cr/website/shopping/ Also I can confirm that they have never made me wait for more passengers. My last two rides, in March and July I rode solo to my hotel just me and the driver.

Used them all the time, booked online and traveled all over CR. Never had a problem with either credit card or buses. if you are traveling alone, sit up front with the driver and practice your Spanish.
