A couple of years ago, they had a Cuban lady who made the most incredible breakfasts and lunches. It was good, "just like momma used make."

At any rate, for me, staying at the HLH and visiting the SL is the way to go.

HLH, no question about it. Staying at the HLH and visiting the SL is the way to go. I will stay there from here on out as long as Boyd is there.

When HLH gets the restaurant completed it will be perfect for me.

Everyone has their own reasons for where they stay, what they do and how much they are willing to colone up for it and that is the best thing about CR.

HLH gives you the best action all day long! Best price also.

You can always go to SL to watch sports and stuff as HLH sports action is weak.

What's the best time to go to HLH? Is it still good later in the evening around 10 or 11?

I believe that the HLH bar closes at 8:00 or 9:00. The girls start thinning out at about 7:00.

Stop in and ask Boyd about the hours when you're there. Sometimes he extends the hours for a particular reason.

Late-afternoon through early-evening is the busiest time.

HLH is best during the day, mid afternoon. Not as many guys there and the girls are excited to see new people.

At happy hour the bar fills up and the there is more competition for the girls.

SL is great in the evening to watch games and catch one that has to get home to the K*ds.

Booked at HLH. I liked the laid back atmosphere at the bar last time I was down (which was 2 years ago) so I figured I would give the rooms a try. I hope "the song remains the same" and I will also be taking cabs up to the SL to hang out for later nights.

Since Boyd has been at HLH, the whole experience is MUCH BETTER than it was 2 years ago, according to long-term CRT brothers.

Boyd knows what we want. You're likely to find all of it at HLH now, except if you want late-night mongering. HLH closes the bar at 10:00.

Sportsmans Lodge is my favorite. I've tried to leave HLH at 9pm and it's difficult to get a taxi. If your not leaving at night, it's probably ok. I like to be able to have my favorites come in a more open atmosphere like the lodge. Just my preference.

We close at 10pm nightly. Our front desk will call a taxi which gnerally takes 2 to 3 minutes to arrive.

Both places are great to hangout. The two should go in together and buy one of those big golf carts. There could be a revolving shuttle between the two. Sit at the SL for an hour, then hop on down to the HLH for an hour. :D

There is a new car service that will be focused on the circuit from HLH to SL to DR

I thought about providing a shuttle service that guys could pay for that made rounds from places around SJ and guys could pay a daily charge for it and just wait on it like a bus or call if there is a large group. I have always thought this to be a good idea. Kudos to whoever actually got this going.

I agree with ThirdWorld. Both have a little different offering of venue but both are great to hang out at.

As far as which place to stay on a trip it would depend on which variance you liked best.

You will not be disappoint with either. Stay at one and get a room tour of the other. Next time you will know for sure which you personally prefer.
