hi all,

i'm thinking of checking out these 2 towns over the wknd of 1/20-1/22. anyone have a list of hotels and things worth checking out in this area?

i'm assuming the interbus will be the way to go to get there cheap. anyone know how much it'll cost?

last time (first trip) i checked out jaco. a bit slow for me but i think i'll go back someday to learn to surf. the beach sucked.

Though they are two towns, they're really one big area seperated into Quepos being the biz district and MA the resort area stretching app 8 km up and down the mountain all the way to the most popular Natl Park in CR. Great 2 mile? beach at MA. A little p4p in Quepos at Wacky's and Pescadora, next door to each other. There is alot to do in the area, check out website Lynch Travel to get an idea. Hotels range from high end to reasonable to cheap, location is important, some up on the hill very $$$ and some down by the beach $$ but no cab/bus ride to the beach. There's tons of stuff on this board you can "search" and on the net on MA/Quepos, whittle your thoughts a little and then either re-post, or pm me and I'll be glad to give you my thoughts, been there a million times. You'll love it.

sorry if i was vague -- i just booked the ticket so now i'm backfilling in my itinerary with things to do....

still in the online searching stage. i'll keep u in mind if i need more specifics which i can't find.
