Which is closer to the gulch? We can fly in on sansa or natureair depending on which is nearest to downtown. Thanks

Pavas is closest. Probably 4500-5000 colone cab ride.
Nature air has two engines and bigger windows.

Pavas is basically in San Jose proper. I live 5 minutes from Pavas Airport and I can make it to the gulch in 5 to 10 minutes in a cab. If you fly into SJO, you will be flying into Alajuela which is a much more expensive cab ride than Pavas, but it is a much larger airport.

But fewer flights than Sansa from alot of the towns they both service. check their website. EG, I think Nature was down to 2 flights per diem from Quepos whereas Sansa still had 5. If, you are flying during the rainy season (now), give a thought to not book the last flight because if you get hit with a monsoon and are rained out and your flight can't get to your town or can't leave from your town, you may be stuck till the next day. If the first flight gets rained out, at least you have a chance of getting to SJ on the 2nd flight. Just a thought. It's happened to me twice in 13 years, after the second time I got smart.
