Just my personal experience at the Dunn Inn.

WOW: Guess I must have missed all the Bad. My first stay (6 Days) was in mid. Jan. 2011: Not for sure what all the fuss is about as I have just finished my second stay (18 March) at the Dunn Inn and every day Guy and Jack both were there and they have gone out of their way to make my stay comfortable, even to the point of adding a supply of my favorite beer which they did not have in stock. It looks like the hotel is having some growing pains but with any business growth and changing management creates issues that take a bit of time to overcome. Not to go against CRT or the VIP members but I enjoyed my stay and would have no problem in recommending the Dunn Inn to my friends.

Staff at the Dunn are good people. I just refuse to patronize a business owner who could care less about CRT members. Just using us to get started with a gambling venture and throwing a fellow member to the curb. Just the way it went down, I have no respect for owner. Yes Managers and personnel are expendable but to fabricate an excuse to get rid of a person is unacceptable. Do what you want! It's a free country! I am supporting Boyd on this one.

The " changing management " is why we wont pay the place any attention. I don't know Boyd well but I have played pool at the Sportsman's and he was on my team and another time they put my beer on his tab and he wouldn't let me repay him. He is really just one of about 50 guys I know that also live here.

But we usually stick together. Thats why we take time to post advice here. It's not "every man for himself". We wont go up and start talking to a girl if she is obviously with another guy.

Most of the guys with some info did not feel right about how Boyd got done so we wont darken the doorway of the place that did it.

Perhaps the best indication of the Dunn Inn's disinterest in future CRT business is they have not yet reached out to me individually or on CRT to address any of the complaints I have expressed. Their silence is deafening.

Srilm, to your point: While in the bar at the Dunn Inn, one fellow told me the owners dispatched him to both the SL and the Del Rey to bring girls to the Dunn Inn since the place was empty and guys were leaving. Apparently, the girls left after the guys at Dunn Inn did not provide them any business. This just supports the view that these guys have little interest in being good neighbors. I guess their view of "If you build it, they will come," is just not working out as well as they planned. Oh Well.

i enjoyed a pleasant stay at the dunn inn back in december. i have nothing negative to say about the place or guy g. however bktuna is the absolute stand up real friend any crt member ever had. i have a feeling his kindness is due to upbringing and he would treat anyone with respect. he was sick with the gringo allergies when i saw him and still went out of his way for me. i read that over and over of crt members. CR should pick him up as a national treasure, a poster boy of sorts, host in chief, or something.

Their only hope is to turn the entire place into a casino. For the life of me I can't understand why they went through all the trouble to get a casino license, only to stuff the casino into a little cubby hole in the corner?

RIP Dunn Inn. Karma sure is a bitch...

Sh*t... The more I read the more I think I'm screwed. I am getting close to my 8 day cancel..... I have stayed at SL,DR and Hotel M... All were fine. I wanted to try something different.... Have not been in 2 years... Can anyone give me the quick and dirty on the place??? Please?? Do chica's hang out at the bar there?? What are the drink prices??

By the way, In staying there, what are some close MP's to go to and bars??? THX

I have read the board up and down. It seems like Boyd is well respected on the board and a lot of guys have vouched for him. That was enough for me to book at the HLH. I hope I have as good a time as I expect.

Sounds to me like HLH might do the trick. Be something different for you and girls for $35 an hour with CRT discount, good value on the rooms and the MP experience. And Boyd is the consummate professional host dedicated to making sure you have not only a good stay at the hotel but a good trip all the way around.
