After much delay I have finally become a member of CRT and have the nice little Costa Rican flag there to prove it haha.

Anyway in addition to that I had a quick question, when I head down I'm staying at the Amistad, I know New Fantasy is 4 blocks away, is that a safe area to be walking 4 blocks through and would you recommend this or no?

Thanks.

Well lets address the first 2 mistakes, staying at the train station and going to an MP

Kidding aside, that's a safe walk especially during the day..

Welcome aboard my friend. and the answer to your question is yes it is safe to walk from Amistad to NF. If this will be your first trip. just stop by the Sportsman on your way to NF. there are always fellow member of CRT there and they will gladly help you and point you in the right direction.

Welcome!

Don't mind Cujo, he just gets nervous and tongue-tied when the 20+ NF chicas come out for inspection. ;)

And yes, quite safe during daytime and evening. Walked it a gazillion billion million (*) times without incident.

mh

(*) ok ok more like 20 or 30 times :D

NF is one of 2 MP's I've sessioned at Zona Blue being the other.

I will say the steam room made it worth going all on its own.

How good of shape are you in? I have seen some fellow mongers huff and puff up that hill, stopping with hands on knees, although it is slightly shorter than HLH!!  :)

I wouldn't call it safe. Odds are nothing will happen but do a search here for "gunpoint" to get an idea of what can occur in Barrio Amon.

Welcome!

Walking from LA to NF during the day is a nice downhill stroll.

I really enjoy walking around San Jose during the day. Lots of MPs to check out.

Walking at night alone not a good idea.

Taxis are cheap. Use them at night!
Make sure the drivers turn on the meter. "Por Favor La Maria"
If the meter says LIBRE it's not on.

yes, anything can happen anywhere...for instance, here in beautiful downtown SoFla, you can get shot up at a Dunkin Donuts...( i pack even when going out for a gallon of milk or loaf of bread here)

but the area you are in is about as safe as can be expected for the Gulch area.

and the tip about taxis at night is good.

although that stretch from your hotel to the SL should be safe 24/7, by CR standards anyway.

Brother ID did make mention of the TV's abandoning the Park and moving into the barrio?

I remember one trip when walking from the Del Rey to the SL, a street dude wandered into the barrio and was immediately surrounded by cops on motorbikes who then proceeded to beat him severely and then call for a paddywagon.

it was in front of that small hotel that has all the ceramic murals of don quixote on their sidewalk walls (that in itself is a must see)

I heard New Fantasy is a little different from the other MP's in that the customer's area and the area where the girls sit are in completely different areas....is that true?

They sit behind a divider that you can see thru. Almost like a fish bowl...

Yuck, nothing but nothing but business....imo

They don't stay in the fishbowl anymore. As soon as customers walk in, all of the girls come out for your inspection to the reception area and stay there until you leave or pick one.

Some mongers get overwhelmed, start hyperventilating, and either run out or pass out with all that poontang within 6 feet or less of their picha.

I stand corrected. Ha, told ya I was a shitty source of MP info...

Had it been like that when I sessioned there, I would have liked that set up better. I would imagine some guys get intimidated by that, but I would prefer it.

If I make SB weekend maybe you and JR60 could convince me to go take a peek. No mud ducks for me though sir...
