I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel July 2-6. checked in late 9pm and had Jr suite for $65 a night plus tax. I was supposed to have a king size bed but was given a room with 2 full size beds. the clean and large. I had a full size couch and a desk with chair with very good wi-fi. Also I like carpet in my room instead of tile. However the safe did not work. Finally after numerous requests to the front office, the next morning I was given a new safe which worked perfect. However It was on the floor instead of being at eye level. the free breakfast was okay but not very good. One thing I liked was plenty of new orange cabs out front and a circular drive to pick you up if it was raining. I had a bad expereince with a pirate taxi a few years ago so I like to get in a taxi I know is safe. As far as other mongers staying there I didn't meet anyone staying there. I spent most of my time at SL and had some excellent food at La amistad new bar/cafe. The mattress were old and uncomfortable at the Clarion. At check out I was charged $95 per night along with servibar charges. I explained my rate and the front started calling Nixon and only getting answering messages. They went ahead and lowered my bill for 4 nights to $328 from $486. However it took about 30 minutes to go into the computer and change everything so I was running a little late to the airport. Also I recieved a apology e-mail from Nixon a few hours later about the mixup. So for the money it was a pretty good stay in a large hotel room. At regular prices I probably wouldn't stay there but with the current discounts I would say it is a good buy. I brought 5 chicas up to my room and there was no chica fee.

I like it if you want to stay out of the action. Thru Nixon it's a good deal casue there's no chica fee. I was there early June and booked thru Nixon at 55.00 a night + tax, about 62.00 total. The last morning I had a 2some and they just added a 15.00 extra guest fee. The breakfast isn't bad but they didn't have eggs while I was there. The casino there is rarely busy and they are very friendly. I find the beds ok but the pillows are hard and uncomfortable. It is close to HLH and VIP's and if you know your way around, it's not a far walk anywhere. For the action, I prefer SL or Amistad for action away from the action. I book Amistad now so that I don't have the drama of my regular chica who works the SL getting pissed that i'm taking someone else to the room. (ie; taking money from her pocket) I will stay at the Clarion again but only if it's thru Nixon and the rate is Comparable to either the 69.00 at SL or Amistad and I want to be away from the action.
