I'll be making my 'maiden voyage' to CR this month. Due to a lack of info at the time I made my reservation, plus the fact that I could stay at the Marriott for free, that's where I booked.

There have been some posts here that suggest that the Marriott is not real chica-friendly. Are there any eating and drinking places near there that might be interesting, at least the first night, since my flight gets in pretty late? Also. when hanging out in The Gulch, are there any short time places where someone can rent accomodations for a few hours when the right opportunity arises? How much of a cab ride is it to the DR and other points of interest?

Will be my second trip to CR and Marriott. Depending on traffic could be half hr to BM . Think taxi was like 13 bucks each way. Hotel is beautiful but no ticas only the ones leaving me and my buddies rooms. Itll be great place its beautiful but girls are a Blue MArlin. We usually bring them to bar and spoil them and then turn in for night. Classy place.
