Was in SJ on a last minute trip and was looking for a reasonably priced place to stay given the hit I took on the airfare. Ended up at Hotel Freebird and was glad I did. Dennis was an excellent host and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. Given the reasonable price point, this place has to be one of the best values in town.

I was fortunate enough to get a suite but it was like my own little apartment. Nice separate sitting area with flatscreen sat/TV, kickin' wi-fi, decent sized fridge and microwave. The bedroom area was well-appointed with a very comfortable queen bed, quality linens, large closet (w/safe) and flatscreen. The bathroom was large with big shower and fluffy towels. It was clear that Dennis didn't skimp on amentities in the bed or bath (the two most important parts of a hotel room).

The location was ideal. One block to Mas y Manos and 2 blocks to DR. Taxista were aboundant, but many didn't know where SL or ZB were (even with a map).

With the current "bailot special" and CRT discount, the Hotel Freebird si perfect for those looking for value but not wanting to sacrifice quality or comfort. Thanks Dennis, I'm sure I'll be back.
