I will be staying at the Hotel La Amistad for the my upcoming Labor Day trip. This will be the first time for me to stay elsewhere in SJ than our beloved Sportsman's Lodge.

I've heard lots of great things about this place and I remember reading somewhere that they would have their bar completed and opening up soon. Just curious if anyone knows will this be a bid to entice working chicas to hang out and seek customers in the bar there.

Any of the locals close to the owner and know what the future goals of the Amistad are ?

as of aug 9th it wasn't open and i doubt until things blow over that it will open. it looks finished and ready to go but the word i got was that they are waiting on permits...
and while you used to be able to buy beer out of small fridge in the lobby, that is only water and soda now.
so its anyones guess. only matt knows for sure.
