Any opinions? I have reservations at both but have to confirm today. I've had some local knowledge say that the rooms at the copa are "dungeon like".

Goodguy8797,

I'll second JunFan's comment. Although the suites are a bit pricy they are 4 times as comfortable as the standard rooms and you get a great ocean front view.

Hey guys, I found a little nugget of a hotel a couple of weeks ago when the hotel I usually use for clients was full. It is called Mango Mar and it is right on the beach in Jaco. Had AC and a small kitchenette and I paid $55 for one person. Small pool and walk right out onto the beach.

Intrigued by Thirdworld's mention, here's more on Hotel Mango Mar:
tel # 506-2643-3670//fax # 506-2643-0133
12 rooms/2 apts. all with AC
nice looking place right on the beach Low rates=$55 single//apts $85
If the Brother mentions it, figure it to be chica-friendly, though no"guest fees" mentioned. Info verified this date.
This is not a recommendation, just info...but it looks good. Close to the BB and other action.

There was a report a while back Tangeri was no chica friendly. No working girls unless u check in with them. Having viewed the Tangeri property a few years back I will comment it was one of the nicest in central Jaco.
