Have you thought about getting two separate rooms with an adjoining door at some place like the Amon Plaza ? With VIP discount should come to considerably less than you were quoted elsewhere.

Sometimes people used to get pairs of rooms at El Sesteo, where one was a one bedroom with bath and kitchen and the other was just bedroom and bath. If they have two adjacent rooms, they can open a door between them. A couple of mongers from Maine used to come down every winter and do that.

I still say that Casa COnde has the best suite value in town. $80 for NEW 2 bedrm suite...out door pool and jacuzze, decent bar / restaurant...though it is NOT the Delrey type bar 8)

Are you sure that price is correct? I stayed there in a single-bedroom junior suite, and it cost me something like $80 (with the CRT discount). It did have a jacuzzi in the bano, and a kitchen.

I believe it's $80 per night if you are staying a month or more. A little over a hundred for 1-6 nights.

FYI...the website for the Casa Conde is www.hotelcasaconde.com.

I was going to post about the Casa Conde but their suites only have 1 bathroom. However, if you are looking for a multi-bedroom unit they are the best deal around, better even then getting two adjoining hotel rooms somewhere else. Their discount from their rack rates for the 2 bedroom/1 bathroom suite with kitchen, livingroom, stereo and washer/dryer all brand spanking new and very nice is less than $80, even for less than 1 week, and so is cheaper than getting 2 rooms at most other hotels discussed on this board. The single junior suite costs a little more but has a king-sized bed and the jacuzzi bath.

Incidentally, the original post that fully described the Casa Conde and the CRT discount along with the link to its website did not turn up in my search. Important posts ARE disappearing around here.

The link to their website is now an aggregating metasite (fancy way of saying "It leads you to a bunch of ads none of which is the hotel's website"). However a search on Tripadvisor.com shows a nice, $100-a-night hotel with spiffy traveler reviews. It doesn't look like an on-site mongering hotel, but a nice respite from the Gulch after a hard days play.
Sr. Prolijo--did you ever stay there?
