What's up Mongies!

My friends and I are hitting up CR in May. I have been reading up alot on this website and have found tons of useful information. We are a group of 8-10 young men, all under the age of 30. Half of us will be down to monger, but the other half are going just to enjoy the scenery and fish. I've read all the details on the DR, Presidente, and SL, but I can't decide which to get. Also, in rooms where there are two beds, hotels assume two people are using that room, correct? So, I've read that the Presidente has a 1 chica per person limit, but if two people use the room then you can bring 2 chicas, right? Anyways, I need help to decide which hotel is the best for us. We all like to party and don't necessarily need a quiet, peaceful atmosphere because we will also be staying in Jaco for 2 days to get a more relaxing atmosphere. But we like the more lively atmosphere, so any hotel suggestions in Jaco will be very helpful also. Again, even in Jaco, we don't need quiet atmospheres, we will be going out practically every night. Look forward to hearing your suggestions!.

I would not bet on it. Have not confirmed it, but I think you are limited to one chia even if you rent the 2BR penthouse! Definitely only one even if you have two guys and two beds.

The Clarion in Amon Plaza is a great place to party. Ive had friends stay there on multiple occassions and they never gave us a limit on women and we had close to 15 people is their penthouse room. I think its a decent alternative if the others dont work out.

I have stayed at all of these places and the Del Rey is it. The main reason the other folks stray away is because of the price. Its always about the money to the CRT'ers. Get a room on the 6th floor and youre set. They have no policy on the number of chicas you can bring up to the room nor care what she is wearing. You dont need to worry about walking out at night and getting robbed nor getting dressed to get a chica.
Again, the Del Rey is pricey so you need to decide if you want the best experience or save a few bucks.

In my humble opinion, the DR is great for a short stay. Long term -- greater than 3 days -- you're probably better off at the others simply because you need take a break sometime.

Large group, young, variety of interests, first time, short time - The only place is the Del Rey. It will save so much time and effort. Get into the middle of the action and forget fine tuning it. The others are all great, but not for this group, this time.

For my vacation I most certainly did not mind paying $70.00 per night for a nice room. If I remember right I could have stayed at the HDR for less. The last business trip I went on stayed at a Marriott and it was $300.00 per night and the room was not much nicer than the SL. Also, Bill and his staff make it a joy to stay there.

People are like snowflakes, there are no two alike. I could have chosen a cheaper room at HDR, than the room I stayed in at the SL for my initial trip. I chose the SL because they immediately answered my e-mail, were very friendly, and I never got a response form the HDR even with three tries. I'm very glad I did. While the HDR is the "heaven on earth" to many of the CRT faithful, I would much rather stay, and spend time at the SL. The ambiance is much more to my style. I found the women asked for less (maybe it is about the money), and gave me much better service. The HDR has way too much hustle for me. Reminded me of my youth when I was phucking multiple women a day. Today, as an old fart, just give me one seven (not interested in 10's) who wants ito be with me, for both the time, and of course, the money. Other than that hit an MP for the second pop of the day.

The word "always" got my blood boiling. While married, I was "always" this, and "never" that, as long as it had a negative connotation she could use against me. Very seldom people are "always or never" one way or the other. When I think about it, it is pretty amazing that one word got me into my head so fast.

If I were to use an "always" about the CRT membership it would be, The CRT VIP's that I met in CR were "always" cordial and very helpful.

Very nicely put! And you're right..... it's not ALWAYS about the money. But it sure would be nice if Latravelnut ponied up the $39 to support this site that he seems to enjoy. But then again, maybe he's talking about himself when he states "it's always about the money".

If this is your first voyage to CR, then make the DR your destination! Since you and your friends are down to party, get rowdy, and tolerate noise, you may as well stay at the belly of the beast. My first trip there was in August 2003. My friends and I all would have kicked ourselves in the ass had we not decided to stay at the DR. At the time, our choices were El Presidente, El Morazon, and the DR. We made our decision to stay at the DR based on what we read on message boards such as this one. We definitely chose wisely and you should as well. Additionally, when I stayed at the DR for the first time, I shared a hotel room with my friend on the 2nd floor (By the way, I strongly recommend everyone in your group getting their own room). There was no problem whatsoever bringing 2, 3, or 4 girls back to the room for some late night festivities. There is, however, a $10 chica fee per girl...The price of paradise!

A couple of years ago, when I stayed a the DR they wouldn't allow me take take three to the room, they said the max was two?

This topic comes up a lot. The BM, Presidente and SL are all very different places. On a first trip I would recommend the BM for at least two nights, then try SL for a few. On subsequent trips it generally is very obvious which place you prefer or fit in best.

All 3 hotels have combination safes which unless you give up the combination to the chica means she can't get in your safe. There's been several posts where veteran CRT's had the chica find their key and steal the money out of their safe. I know after some 20 yr old Tica rocks my world, I am in a vunerable state of mind and it's nice to know she can't get in my safe. Unless I give up the combination in which case I would deserve it

De while in Jaco consider staying at the Copa the rates are reasonable and staff is great also if any of you have any questions speak with Keke , super cool guy.
