we're flying into CR 4/19, and staying one night in san jose then going to the coast. 5 guys, and we are thinking 5 rooms. a friend who travels to CR frequently suggested the presidente. we called and they say they're full. any other suggestions ? We think we'd like to be near the del rey. first time for all of us. love to hear suggestions.

1st suggestion. Due a search using the key word hotel. You will get 3,492 hits. Sure one of them will provide some good info.

2nd suggestion. Think you will be hard pressed to find 5 rooms at any of the popular monger spots such as The Presidente, Del Rey, Sportsman's lodge or Castillo but worth a try. Then check the Morazan and the Amon Plaza. Morazan is only 1 block away from Del Rey and if you use the coupon in the Tico Times the rate for a Thursday night is $35.00 plus tax.

The map is a bit outdated... No Hotel Castillo listed, hotel Gran Via no longer exists, etc...

If you are looking for hotels near del rey, Pension de la Cuesta B&B could be a good option if you wanna save up some hotel money.
