Sporadic dates available. Reportedly available for the same price in business class. $179 after taxes. Available from SFO over Labor Day weekend. Other dates and cities also available.

Unlikely to last long, may be a fat fingered fare.

What site did you see that fare on?

I was doing some comparison shopping last night (6-5), and I noticed that the price had dropped down to $523 (from $623)on TACA.com…but I‘ve never seen a TACA price that low ($179) out of SFO. Best I’ve ever seen was $473… With the higher fuel prices TACA’s best discount base is still over $500 out of SFO… but if you see a site with TACA/SFO prices that low again, Please PM me fast!

SFO? Is that San Francisco?
I just had to pay $600 RT for a trip from L.A. on Taca!
The most I've ever had to pay, and I did a thorough search on Expedia, Cheaptickets, and various airline sites...

As expected the fare was only available for a few hours. It was available on many travel sites including travelocity.com (w/ a $5 surcharge) (If you use travelocity.com link to it through the CRT homepage to help out the board).

Yes SFO = San Francisco, however it was available from other western cities including Seattle and Phoenix and probably LA.

Ask PIDD about the $68 R/T base fare from Chicago and a few other midwest cities AA, Delta, and Continental had available about 3 years ago. That was a sale, but it also only lasted a few hours.
