All the rooms in the new wing are great. The Hermosa room is right off the bar inside the doors with no immediate rooms attached so you can make all the noise you like without worrying about your neighbors. The rest of the rooms on both floors including the 3rd floor Penthouse are just great.

Mucho, Ruff... I'm counting on your help here. If either of you is in the SL during the next few weeks, please talk with Bill and/or Johanna for me and make sure I've got a good spot? :?

EC,
I'll be there in 4 days (Thurs. 6/8.). I've got "HERMOSA" reserved this trip. Last month, I stayed in "El Rey". Two months ago, I stayed in the Penthouse. IMHO, all the rooms in the new wing are nice. I'll talk to Bill when I get there, and see where he's got you for Labor Day. I'll let you know.
MG

I don't know why I just didn't e-mail Bill directly.....duh....  <slap to forehead>

Typical of Bill's extraordinary attention to customer service, he has already PM'ed me and
answered my question. :D

Don't know how to tell you this Ruff... you're bumped from the penthouse.
:P
:P

Naw, just kidding.

Thanks Bill!

I just stayed in "Hermosa" during Memorial Day Weekend, and its a beautiful, spacey and comfortable room... You'll very much enjoy it.

One of the best things about hotels such as the SL are that each room, particularly those in the older part of the hotel, have a character, ambience and features all its own.

Even rooms of newer vintage will differ in view, noise level, layout, convenience. As this is often the case, I too would like to see more reviews of individual rooms, at many hotels.

Thanks for the reviews of Hermosa. I always wanted to stay in a spacey room. :? :D

Hermosa sounds lovely. :)

CG,
Xman stayed in "Mirador" over Memorial Day weekend. He may be the guy to talk to.

I stayed in "Del Mar". It was cool. It has a small kitchenette and a fridge. I never used the kitchenette, but the fridge was cool to have. The only problem I had was some kind of weird smell would come out of the bathroom, even when it wasn't being used. I had to keep the door closed and I even asked the maid for some air freshner. It helped a lot.

All new rooms are pretty cool, they each are a little different in their own way.

Ain't no way El Ciego. I've tried to bribe Bill several times for the Penthouse Suite for Labor Day weekend! :o He keeps telling me that some "big shot" has the Penthouse that weekend. To which I always respond....."Nahh. It's just RuffNutz"! :P
