By order of the Ministry of Tourism, Costa Rica is reopening for tourists from the United States. Travel will be allowed on the basis of state of residency. As of September 15, the list has been expanded to 11 states and the District of Columbia.

At this time, the Sportsmens Lodge will remain closed. We hope to see travel eventually permitted from hub states, including Florida, Texas, and Georgia. The situation is subject to change. Please check back with us for more information.

In the article pointed to by the Admin above @ https://sportsmenscr.com/reopening-tourism/, it states as one of the requirements for entry "Obtain a negative PCR-RT coronavirus test, which must have been taken at least 72 hours prior to the flight to Costa Rica."

Isn't that a typo? Shouldn't it read "within 72 hours prior to the flight"? The way it is written in the article, test results could be obtained a week or more before takeoff, but not within 72 hours of takeoff.

Not trying to split hairs, but it could cause confusion.

Btw, sorry to see that SL won't be able to open yet, but looking forward to the day when it is.

If you go to the Sportsmans website, reservations are now blocked until Oct 15. This fits with what I have been told by someone in San Jose that SL is targeting Oct 15 for reopening.

Let’s hope it works out. I’ve got my reservation already booked for 10/15!

No you are right. Good catch. Hopeful to see it open and back to its glory in the near future.

Looks like it has been corrected.

Standing by and ready to bring some business back to SL when it is ready. :P

But, any pu*sy is better than none, within reason. If it gets too expensive, five finger Sally will prevail.
