I am planning a trip to Nicaragua the end of this month. Any info you have to offer would be greatly appreciated.... where to stay, info on the Nicas, car rental and bus ride to San Jose. Best town to monger in...Granada, Managua, Masaya or Leon? Do most speak some English? Please help.

I took the bus from San Jose to Managua before with a Nica, we stayed in a hotel in Managua and used her and her family members as tour guides for a week.
The bus ride and border crossing was not that bad either way. Took a few tours around Managua as well as a day to Masaya and a day to Granada. Granada was worth the trip, get one of the little boats to take a tour of the islands. Found some good food places in the markets. Masaya Volcano is a fun side trip.
Can't help much on chica hunting, brought my own. Roads were much better than San Jose, money is exchanged in the parking lots outside of some larger stores.
Very few English speakers, much hotter than San Jose. I would have not been comfortable without a guide or experienced wing especially with my limited Spanish.

I have not been but I have friends who go, they say Managua is dangerous, not a good idea to go by yourself, but plenty of tang there. If you have someone who knows the city, then it's good and plenty of poonage.

Most prefer Granada, pretty safe, beautiful historic town, some hotel, may be listed here, caters to mongers but not a lot of girls.

Beach towns on the Pacific immediately due north of Guanacaste are supposed to be fun and reasonably safe and cleaner than Jaco, but my toilet with fresh laid 2 lb steaming diarrhea turd is cleaner than Jaco...,

Some Americans own bars and restaurants there and hotels are cheap, it is hot like Florida or even worse but they say lots of fun, not sure about girls but these are impoverished third world sssshhhttt holes and I bet girls gravitate to where billionaire Rich Americans are,   and Nicas are amazing.....

You should move your queries to the Newbie section.
in Granada there is a lady called Valleria who has a hostel and provides girls.
Go to the top of the page and click on search, then type in Granada or Valareria and look at the info.

This is what makes moving to florida more enticing for me. All of these alternatives to CR are around CR and thus being in FL makes them close to you as well. Thank you for this enlightening discussion
