Management team of Hotel La Amistad is pleased to announce they have negotiated to buy the Hotel Castillo. Located in Barrio Amon, just 150 meters from the Sportsmens Lodge and a few blocks from Zona II, the Hotel Castillo is perfectly situated for enjoying the San Jose nightlife.

Plans are to transform the Castillo into a luxury property, along the lines of the Amistad. The new hotel will offer a complete remodeling, new furniture and a restaurant. Work is expected to begin in October, but is subject to permitting and approval of architectural design.

Once completed, all-inclusive guests at both the Amistad and Castillo will be able to go enjoy the bar and restaurant in both locations. Guests at both hotels will also be able to use the shuttle service to Jaco Beach and complimentary taxi transfer to the airport (departure only).

Due to the overwhelming success, all inclusive rates are expected to continue through 2015.

A real improvement for the area. Matt and Don have good plans and a good performance record.

Wow... a great move. I'm glad to see that somebody with vision has acquired my long-time favorite hotel, Castillo. Keeping Darren onboard... and giving him even greater responsibility is a smart move. Congratulations, Darren!

Congrats.
