Darren Will remain As manager over both properties

Love staying there especially the patio rooms and thanks for keeping Darren he's a ggod guy.
I hope it keeps its privacy and number of rooms I'd rather it not turn into another La amistad.

One hotel has the best beds I have stayed in and the other the worst

All the new beds will be top of the line memory foam mattresses same as amistad and new furniture

Please no memory foam mattresses like Amistad. For a person who sleeps on their stomach it is difficult to get a good nights sleep. I suggest nice firm mattresses.

Wow...congrats Matt and the Amistad team! If the food is half as good as Amistad, I might eat at Castillo again after my 6 year hiatus. Best of luck to all and looking forward to the NEW Castillo!

And thus another little bit of The Gulch funky charm bites the dust. What next, The Hemingway? Prolly gonna be a glass wall and A/C overlooking the Zoo entrance...And so it goes...Rat-a-tat, Matt.

Funny that's EXACTLY what Matt said he was going to do in the back. All glass after they rip out all the plants etc...

Oh and the sale is not yet final as per Darren 2 days ago.

For the price Castillo was my spot. No frills, great staff, chill atmosphere. I don't need all the fancy shit or a fridge, microwave. a/c, memory foam, 42 inch flat screen etc...

Guess I'm looking for a new hotel

Don is my partner in the Amistad for the past couple years and helps run the day to day operation. Darren (Hotel Castillo) will be handling the day to day management of employees and customer service in the future. Myself and Don are working on other business ventures in Costa Rica to be announced.

Regards
Matt

Good Luck guys. Looking forward to the renovation. Maybe the bar area could be something of an Asian flair. Mongolian Bar B Que or Hibachi grill comes to mine. The Filipinas that use to work back there made some excellent dumplings.
