Kind of a deceiving thread title unless we can exchange straight cash with you for colones at that rate? Change for a cigar 500 to 1... hardly newsworthy.

Today's rate at Banco San Jose, Departure area at SJO airport 494. All Walmart stores 494. Happy exchanging.

You may not want to take too much time away from your "main mission" if you remember that one colone is equal to approximately 1/5 of a US penny.
