Gentlemen: It should go without saying but it the management of the Dunn Inn wanted to pass on this message.

CRT members should to call 1-800-545-4801 or 512-535-1850 or email dunninn@racsa.co.cr for reservations in order to reserve your room for your CRT discounts.

The CRT VIP Discount will not be honored when reservations are made through Expedia, Orbitz or any other booking engines. They must be made directly with the hotel at the numbers listed above or via email. This is not new but it needed to be clarified.

Also An additional 5% discount on top of all other CRT VIP discounts will apply to any rooms Sunday Through Thursday when paying in Cash! This is valid through December 31st!

I could get a better deal booking my room through Orbitz than using my CRT discount for the Dunn Inn. The last couple of times I stay there I made my reservations through Orbitz and got an additional 15% discount on my room. Maybe the management wants to attract a different type of clientelle.

I don't get it......I try to book direct with my CRT card but it's more than Expedia. Please explain this to the commoners. I'm talking about 10 bucks a day difference.

What am I missing...does CRT have a guarantee of the lowest price? Why not just book at the other web sites?

DI don't read this board. Phone and tell them the price you could get with expedia and negotiate with them. If they won't give you a better price, book with expedia or book a different hotel.

keep in mind the rooms that Morazan reserve for the 'Orbitz' traveler are the lowest of the lows. It may be the same for Dunn Inn. If you've stayed before and have preferences as to where in the building you want to be, I'd forgo the savings-difference (Orbitz vs CRT) and get the room you will prefer.

EDIT: also, I previewed the rooms at Dunn Inn last trip, and the el cheapo rooms feel like prison cells to me. I was happier with the HLH and Morazan rooms I have had. BUT! The deluxe rooms at Dunn Inn were upgrades from any room I have stayed in in SJ.

I wouldn't book a standard at the DI, they're like closets. The deluxe at the DI is just a bit bigger...not much. The best value for a standard room is at the Mona Lisa...almost twice the size of a DI standard room and bigger than a DI deluxe.
