I go to the Rey every couple or 3 weeks, mostly to meet up with other fellows, look at the eye candy and hunt for something new and fresh. Last night the place was fairly full. Lots of pretty ladies; most were the same old faces but a few new faces. There is a new group of Venezuelanas, a stunning young Columbiana with hot friends and a few coming all the way from Cartago or San Ramon. Not too many guys, yet some business was conducted. I remarked to a buddy that if we were tourists who haven't gotten anything in a long while, we would be amazed at the choices and would be like K*ds in candy store. We would grab the first pretty one, drop a c-note and enjoy 15 minutes of bliss. Yet for us locals, it can get pretty boring, especially since we both had sessioned earlier in the day with either one of our lovely, honest regulars or in one of the local pensions. We both looked long and hard at the talent in order to get some new phone numbers from some fresh talent; and yes, we both succeeded. There's been some posts on this site about how the Rey is not what it used to be. It is just as it used to be ! There's something for anyone and for every taste. It's only that some of our attitudes have changed. |
