How was the Cornell Cry-in? Did you go thru a whole box of Kleenex while in Mamby-Pamby Land expressing yourself & your hatred for Trump? Funny, I don't remember any 'Cry-ins' or Libtardesque 'Protests' (you know, the kind of protests that involve breaking windows, throwing stuff at police, beating reporters, turning over cars, starting fires, that kind of 'protest'!!) in Nov 2008!!

You Libtards must be very proud of the 'Peacful Protesters'!!

"First of all you don't know me!" either. Did you stay up late night looking to pick a fight by baiting me with some unreferenced event that happened just before Osama took office? I'm sure there were a gazillion things that happened in Sept '08 that you didn't mention but likewise were unreferenced in this thread. Am I supposed to feel sorry for your friends that lost their jobs? I don't! They are 1000's of hard working Americans that have lost their jobs under Osamas 8 yr reign of terror that I do have a lot more sympathy for than some overpaid Wall Street trader who got caught up in the subprime mortgage fiasco and all of the negligence and malfeasance in handling their accounts. So again, no sympathy for your friends or Lehman Bros & GS!!! Next time you wonder if I remember something, be a bit more specific before throwing out an isolated event that has yet gone unmentioned in the thread!

Just beacuse Ki-LIAR-y lost, there is no reason for you to pick a fight with me! If you are a Moderate (you certainly are leaning Left!), as you claim to be, then you should have no problem with giving Trump a chance. He certainly can be no worse than what we have had the last 8 years! I hope you find peace with whatever anger inspired your keyboard attack of me, in the next 4 years!!

Peace,
CostaReeker

Why so much hate? If you read my earlier post, I said I would give Trump a chance. No I wasn't crying or protesting when Hilary lost. I keep an open mind. You should do the same. It's Obama not osama.
Just wondering if you were this venomous towards George Bush?

I do support him now since he was won the election. And you not going to see disrespecting him like he did to Obama. I wish Trump well.

But of course it did.

And the moral of the story is, there are several topics that are best avoided here because they will lead nowhere. Politics is #1 on that list.

With trump, there's actually a chance prostitution is legalized in the states. The man once owned two Atlantic City casinos. His family fortune was originally made from brothels and prostitutes. He clearly has an appreciation of beautiful foreign women. It all adds up to a real shot for legalization.

Not at all.

Leaving aside the whole "human trafficking" aspect, prostitution is a state-level and local (city) level crime, except for the Mann Act - see Hoke v. United States, 227 U.S. 308 (1913) where the Supreme Court said regulation of prostitution was a state matter, save for interstate transport.

The US is a federal republic and the states (whether progressives believe it or not) are sovereign within the federal structure. To legalize prostitution throughout the US, every state and local jurisdiction that has a law or ordinance relative to prostitution would have to repeal it. So 49 states (Nevada excluded) and who knows how many cities, towns and counties.

And yes, Congress does force the states to accept 'mandates' like the 55 MPH speed limit of changing the drinking age to 21 by withholding funds (usually highway funds) from those states that refuse to knuckle under - but those are usually 'popular' mandates.

So the chance of President Trump somehow waving a magic pen and legalizing prostitution in the US are zero.

And the 'nasty women' from the marches this week would go berserk - and so would the so-called legitimate media. "Trump is LITERALLY Hitler and he wants to make us all WHORES!!!!"

1) No need for personal attacks like the highly offensive and totally inaccurate one you just made. You're welcome to say that to my face the next time we meet up, as I am pretty sure what you just did has no business on this forum.

2) Have I posted my personal opinion about a political topic? Of course, when I see others doing in kind. Do I condone this? No, even when I do it. I'm man enough to admit I have done it and it has no place in this forum, which is why I posted what you quoted above. I'll repeat it - politics are best avoided in this forum. I know where these "debates" usually end up, especially among a male population that trends a certain way politically.

However, when I see people spouting nonsensical "alternative facts" - or indulge in a personal attack like you just did - I may choose to respond in kind. I'm a flawed human, not a saint.

So now "let it go son, Let it go!" is a personal attack? Really? And you welcome me to say that to your face? Is that a threat like you are going to kick my ass or something? Let's just say if you & I were to fight, you would kick my ass any which way you would want to. So now we can skip the fight & just talk. Whew, glad we go that over without me getting my ass kicked!!

I respond to the OP by saying only good can come out of this & Amen Brother then you and another member start lambasting me & responding LMAO to my posts, yet politics has no place on this board?

Once again, talking out of both sides of your mouth! The other members have "Let it go!" and so should you. When someone/anyone gets a response such as "LMAO", "Costareeker must love to go back to September 2008 and prior. The good ole days." and "Well... he IS a Trump supporter, so there's that.." of course they are going to respond with "personal attacks" (as you call them). I guess your repeated LMAO & other antagonistic posts were not personal attacks aimed at baiting me into a response so you could claim "Personal Attack!!"?

Like I told you on another thread, I enjoy your posts & you have some really good info to share & for that I thank you and you have helped me out with that intel at least 2X!! I don't want to fight you, and if and when we meet, I don't want to talk politics. You are as adamant about your stance as I am about mine. You won't convince me to change my opinion & I know I won't change your opinion.

Anyway, I am done with this thread, I'll probably read but won't respond again, this is useless!!

Peace in 2017!!

This political stuff reminds me of the Swiss dude at Theo's bar. He was unhinged with fear we'd elect the "wrong kind of socialist" as he put it! Can't wait to hear his unsolicited opinion now that the election is over.  8)

Isn't that the reason most Americans vote for liberals, they don't want to lose the "freebies". Why work if the government will give it to you

And a result of the overwhelming barrage of anti-Trump propoganda from the US media as reflected in the local media.

Whether you supported Bernie or Hillary or Cruz or Trump. the next 4 (8) years are going to show a level of CTL-Left media derangement hitherto unseen.

The absolutely crazy level of derangement prior to the inauguration is going to look like fawning Trumpism before its over. The (Democratic) Party media and every social media platform is going to hyperventilate constantly. Right now, there are people convinced that they are going to rounded up and put in death camps because they have a vagina.

The women's march was a perfect example. Things are so awful, OMG!, that Madonna is thinking about blowing up the White House... But who was the President for the last 8 years? So why are things so awful in one day - when no legal changes were made vis-a-vis "women's rights" - which are somehow different than "human rights" and make a vagina sacred except for when a Muslim demands women be genitally mutliated because that's "multicultural" and "we can't judge"?

Because it's about "feelz".

And we are going to be bombarded, 24/7 365, with breathless intensity, about how Trump is "literally Hitler", etc.

And riots - I mean "peaceful protests".

All paid for by a Hungarian gnome.
