Hey guys. I purchased my bike. I got a 500cc Honda Silver wing. Its got full faring, saddlebags, shaft drive and even has a stereo. lol.

What im looking for now is a shop that sells accessories like mirrors, tarps, handgrips ect.

Anyone know of one in Escazu or SJ?

Thanks all,

Greg

Too obvious I know but here's the Honda Website with 2 clickable links: http://world.honda.com/group/Costarica/ << SAVA looks like a good bet
Another info source might be motorcycle tour companies, many of whom use Hondas: http://www.info.com/costa%20rica%20moto ... 7QodNVqzyA

BTW, congrats on your purchase and many miles of fulfilled motoring.

Thanks mate. according to that web site there are NO honda motorcycle dealers in the SJ area.

Looks like i'm gonna have to look at aftermarket type places

honda shop on the right towards town as you pass the cookie plant in la uruca

This is the biz mentioned in the Honda site. Many locations throughout CR: http://www.savacr.com/web/distribuidores/ << run the cursor over the flashing wings for a pic and tel # of that location--can't speak about other businesses.

Yeah. That showed no honda shops in SJ.

What i was really looking for was just an motorcycle accessory shop. Dealers are always too expensive. In thailand these kind of shops are everywhere. No such animal here?

That shop in santa ana? Got a name or exact location mate?

I passed this motorcycle shop in Barrio Cuba last week. They had about 50 motorcycles parked inside. Their number is 2214-4858.

They look like the kind of place that would have your part or could get it.

I'm curious... not really knowing how the mail system works in CR, but is Ebay a viable option down there?

As someone who currently owns two motorcycles and has owned several Hondas over the years, I find the best deals are usually online. Seems there is not much anymore that the Chinese can't make and make a lot less expensive.

Santa Ana does seem to have possibilities. A biker friend of mine recently moved there and I saw lots of customs and even an MC or two when i was there in January. Ask some of the locals and they may know a place. I know the Chinese seem to be flooding CR with their little knock-offs that look like Suzukis.

I tried this.

1. I opened a box at Mail-Boxes-Etc on Pavas/Rohrmosar with a Miami mailing address that they forwarded from.
2. Some of the items I had shipped directly from Ebay included seller's invoices.
3. They charged me a 50% tax on those items based on the invoices. Mucho Dinero.
4. One day I went to check my mail and the place was closed. I had a credit card lost in the middle. The other Mail-Boxes-Etc in Escazu could not help.

Now I have friends bring me anything needed or I bring it myself in suitcases / carry-on.

theres a blip and inexplicable by gringo standards tax increase on imports...ive ordered dozens of things..and get occ mail... big small and costly or not ..thru aerocasillas.com ..i always pay cash and they use their credit card..not a single glitch....from exhausts for my duck..to carbon fiber dash and console replacements..to candy and mints..licorice jelly bellys...it aint rocket science amigos..run with a winner.. :)

I checked those guys, they seem to add about 30+ percent to the cost of the item and that doesn't count the cost to send it to the Miami address.

There has got to be a better way.

Did you call this shop ?
Their number is 2214-4858.

Do you have any friends that are coming down? Have it mailed to them.

If you have stuff shipped UPS or Fed-Ex, you can pick it up at their office and save yourself some grief.

PM me if you want something shipped from Florida (with a price friendly invoice).
I'm not looking to make money on this.

I have 12 bikes in my garage and know some good sources.
