I'm looking for a place to stay for 3 months. I realize it's probably too short for an apartment lease. What are my options?

only requirements:
located in or around San Jose
with a kitchenette
and a bed

What should I expect to pay?

I don't think you will have a problem renting by the month. It is common in CR.. Cost is determined by many variables...location, age of bldg, utilities include, etc.

For a basic studio apt, $200 and up should be close.
